Create Amazing Website

Your whole website, start to finish, from one command.

The skill we use in the studio. Tell your agent what website you want and it walks it through nineteen steps: structure, brand, design, code and the live site. Everything is saved in the project, so tomorrow it carries on from where it stopped.

In ChatGPT or Codex, paste this:

Before you install it, read the guide.

If this is your first website with an agent, start here. It reads in the browser, no account needed, and gets you ready to use the skill.

Build a stunning website with ChatGPT. Free, No account, 14 chapters, 22 figures, PDF when signed in.

Nineteen steps, four stretches.

Step 0 to step 18. Each one leaves files, versions and decisions on record, and nothing moves on without your approval.

Prepare and define

The environment ready and the website clear before anything is drawn.

  1. 0

    Prepare the environment

Checks tools and account access, reports what's missing and asks before installing anything.

  2. 1

Define the website and its knowledge base

Concept, audience and features; sets up the project vault, plan and checklist.

Structure

Which pages exist, how they connect and how they behave on a phone.

  1. 2

    Study the page structure

Reads your screenshots or references and records each page's sections, order and content.

  2. 3

    Connect the sitemap and navigation

Routes, menus and links between pages; flags gaps before wireframes are built.

  3. 4

    Build responsive wireframes

Linked HTML/CSS pages for phone, tablet and desktop. Structure first, styling later.

  4. 5

    Review and approve the structure

Applies your corrections and records the exact version you accept as the baseline.

Brand and design

References, identity, a visual direction and the complete prototype.

  1. 6

    Research visual directions

Typography, spacing, colour, surfaces and imagery from each reference.

  2. 7

    Research the brand

Works out with you whether the identity is kept, adapted or created, and what's protected.

  3. 8

    Explore brand concepts

Proposes and compares concepts, refines them with your feedback and records your pick.

  4. 9

    Produce the final brand assets

Symbol, wordmark, combined versions and backgrounds, with usage rules and an inventory.

  5. 10

    Compare design directions

Every reference applied to the same page, side by side, so you choose one.

  6. 11

    Refine the chosen design

Stronger type, layout and mobile, one preserved version after another until you say yes.

  7. 12

    Build the complete prototype

The visual system on every page, with purposeful motion that also works with motion reduced.

  8. 13

    Review the complete prototype

Corrections in new versions until exact acceptance: the definitive handoff.

Production and launch

The real code, a polished home, the pull request and the live site.

  1. 14

    Implement the production website

Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind in your own repository, with editable Markdown content.

  2. 15

    Redesign and perfect the home

Only the home: stronger composition, mobile polish and coordinated motion, until you accept it.

  3. 16

Extend the design across the site

When you ask for it, the accepted direction reaches every page without losing what each one does.

  4. 17

    Review the final pull request

Publishes the branch and opens the PR; it merges only after human approval.

  5. 18

Deploy and accept the live website

Deploys with your authorization, checks the real pages and records the URL and revision.

How to install it

It lives in a public, open-source GitHub repository. Pick your agent: every route installs the same folder.

  1. In ChatGPT or Codex, just ask

Paste this line with the repository link. The skill installer pulls it from GitHub and gets it ready to use.

    Your agent
    Install this skill: https://github.com/themariscalproject/themariscal-create-amazing-website-skill

In Codex, call it with $themariscal-create-amazing-website.

  2. In Claude Code, as a plugin

The recommended route: it updates with one command later. Type these two lines inside Claude Code.

    Claude Code
    /plugin marketplace add themariscalproject/themariscal-create-amazing-website-skill
    /plugin install themariscal-create-amazing-website@themariscal

Restart Claude Code, open your website folder and type /themariscal-create-amazing-website, or ask for it in plain words.

  3. Or clone it and install it yourself

Clone the repository and run the installer. --claude puts it in your Claude Code skills, --codex in Codex's, --project in a single project.

    Terminal
    git clone https://github.com/themariscalproject/themariscal-create-amazing-website-skill.git
    cd themariscal-create-amazing-website-skill
    ./install.sh --claude

The installer makes no network requests, needs no sudo and never overwrites an existing install unless you pass --update.

  4. In any other agent

Use the skills CLI, or copy the skills/themariscal-create-amazing-website/ folder wherever your agent looks for skills.

    Terminal
    npx skills add themariscalproject/themariscal-create-amazing-website-skill

One way in

You don't need to remember which step comes next. The first time it starts by preparing the environment; when you come back it reads what it saved and continues from the unfinished step and action.

To start

Your agent
Start a new website with themariscal-create-amazing-website.

To resume, tomorrow or in a new session

Your agent

What you keep

  • A project knowledge base with requirements, decisions and durable progress.
  • Structural references, wireframes, design comparisons and every reviewed version.
  • Final brand files and a documented visual system.
  • A complete responsive prototype and a separate production codebase.
  • Editable Markdown content synchronized with the application.
  • Validation evidence, approvals, release history and the final website URL.

Decisions stay yours

It pauses whenever it needs something from you, and it remembers what you decided: no asking twice while nothing changes. A passing build or a quiet conversation never counts as a yes.

  • Which version stays
  • What gets installed
  • When the design rolls out
  • Human review of the PR
  • Permission to deploy
